Those of you who attend Immanuel know that for the last several months we have been researching new leadership for our children's ministry. After careful consideration we have determined to take a new direction. We have hired the following three ladies to assist us in this important area of our church. When you come to Immanuel on Sunday, November 13, you will see them introduced in the morning services, find a brief description in your church mailbox, and notice a more complete overview of their roles near the child check-in stand.
Each of these ladies will be reporting directly to Dean who will be taking a more attentive role to our children's ministry and assuming many of the responsibilities that come with this fresh approach. These four will now be working as a team to provide added availability to every aspect of our work with children.
Kela VanDerWerff is our new Children's Coordinator for Preschool Formation. In this role she will oversee our ministries for children from birth through kindergarten. You can use her new email address, kela@immanuel.cc, to contact her.
Kelli Wyse is our new Children's Coordinator for Elementary Discipleship. In this role she will oversee our ministries to children in 1st through 5th grades. You can use her new email address, kelli@immanuel.cc, to contact her.
Tina Paul is our new Children's Coordinator for Special Events. In this role she will oversee events like Bethlehem Village and others planned throughout the year. You can use her new email address, tina@immanuel.cc, to contact her.
Bethlehem Village has been a growing outreach in our church over the past several years and we are looking forward to how God is going to use it again this year. On Saturday, December 10, we will be transforming a section of our church into a reenactment of a Bethlehem bazaar. To make this day as effective as possible we need your help in preparations, working in the various shops on that Saturday, and inviting your friends. Plan to sign up soon!
