SHOW YOUR COLORS – This Sunday night, January 24, is our church's annual meeting (though I like the term annual party). We will be reviewing some of 2015 and taking a look at 2016. It all starts with a pitch-in dinner at 5:00pm. We are asking everyone to bring a main dish and a side dish or dessert, everything else will be provided. Everyone who attends Immanuel is invited (there is just as much fun as there is business). Come dressed in the colors of your favorite sports team (any sport – any team). Don't miss it! MEDICAL MISSIONS UPDATE – One of our Global Partners is Jodi Boyd, a member of Immanuel. She has recently returned from Togo, West Africa where she has been serving as an operating room nurse as well as helping the new hospital to get up and running. This Sunday morning, January 24 in the morning service, she will be updating us on what her ministry has been like and what is coming ahead for her. Join us for either service – 9:00am or 10:30am. HONORING MARRIAGE – Hebrews 13:4 says "Let marriage be held in honor among all". The implication is that marriage is to be respected and supported by everyone, regardless of age or marital status. We all realize how important this is in a day when commitment to marriage is under increasing stress. This year Valentine's Day, February 14, falls on a Sunday. In response, we are going to take that day at Immanuel to push this celebration up another notch. This will be our topic for morning teaching and in the evening we are taking a new approach. Every couple in our church, married or dating, is invited back for a date night at church. Cost will be just $5 per couple for a night of great food, great comedy, great insights, and great relationships. Watch your email, our church website, and your church mailbox for more details.
