View this email in your browser ITS THIS WEEK  September 5, cook out with the Faris family at our home (39 E. 20th St) from 11:00am to 1:00pm.  Come and go as you wish.    What:  In our ongoing efforts to create a safe and nurturing environment for our children here at Immanuel, we have decided to adopt a "TEXT to PAGE" system. Why:  Regular pagers do not last forever and a system upgrade would be about $1200. The new "TEXT to PAGE" costs half a cent a text, and runs off our current check in system. Using this type of system would allow us to reinvest ministry funds for other needed items.    How:  In the event a parent needs to be reached, a text will be sent out to your phone requesting you to come to the appropriate area.  This means we will need your cell number on file.  For those who do not text, or might have coverage issues, we will have a radio to contact security in the event you may need to be reached.  As we work through the bugs and concerns, please feel free to give feedback to help us make this new system successful.       THANK YOU TO THOSE WHO HAVE HELPED You are probably starting to see the ads - "back to school shopping".    As you pick up supplies for this school year would you consider sticking an extra item in for the church?  Here is a list of needed items Tape Markers Crayons Pencils Glue Pens Construction paper Pipe cleaners Paper plates Craft sticks Hand wipes Brad fasteners Scissors Paper lunch bags   Thanks for your helping us get ready for this fall   EVENTS, FORMS, SCHEDULE AND CURRICULUM  hope to see you all there.
