Nick & Barb Weeber have been in New Mexico with a group of students from Hope College. On Wednesday afternoon they were out hiking and climbing when Barb took a 35 foot fall. She was unconscious for 10 minutes. They rappelled her down the mountain and then airlifted her to Albuquerque. Nick had to drive 2 hours to get to the hospital. She had a CT scan which found some bleeding in the brain but no surgery was needed. They had to stitch up her elbow. She has a hematoma in her hip that they are assessing to see if any surgery is needed. As of Friday morning she was still in the trauma unit at the hospital. They would appreciate your prayers.
