CrossTrain this New Year

The calendar has flipped, and while gyms are flooded with new folks trying to better themselves, only to fall off the wagon by February.   Or at the very least, gain back the few pounds lost during January.    With life and pressures coming at us at every angle, what truly lasting way is there to improve one’s self?   Jesus, in response to the Devil’s temptation in the desert, quotes Deuteronomy 8 (In Matthew 4): It is written: ‘Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.’”   Psalm 119 says “Blessed are those who keep his statutes and seek him with all their heart”

 

So, in addition to reaching for the refrigerator, we should be reaching for our bibles, or bible apps, or whatever it is.   Will you commit to reading God’s word daily this year?   How about even attempting to read through the entire bible in a year?    Comment below if you’re “in”.
