FARIS RECEPTION

FARIS RECEPTION – As most of you know, Dave Faris is concluding his role as Children's Pastor at Immanuel this next week. We are very thankful for his ministry with our children over the past four years. We are hosting an appreciation reception for Dave & Laura in the Commons during the break between our two morning services (10:00-10:30) this Sunday morning, June 26. This will be your chance to express encouragement to each of them in person and to write them a brief note.
BE A BLESSING – This past Sunday we officially kicked off 10 weeks of summer serve. This means we are looking for ways where we can come alongside people God places in our life and be an encouragement to them in practical ways. Each Sunday when you come to Immanuel during these 10 weeks you will find a place on the wall in the Court where you can share a brief report of the opportunity God has given you to be a blessing. You can also go to our church website, Immanuel.cc, where all the examples from last year are listed along with what is taking place this year. If you did not have a chance to pick up your starter packet on this project additional sets will be available in the Court.
HEARTSONG – This Sunday, June 26, the musical team of Heartsong will be with us. This is a group of students from Cedarville College who will be leading us in worship during the morning service. Be sure to join us at either 9:00 or 10:30.

ZURBURG REPORT

ZURBURG REPORT -- This Sunday morning, June 19, Kurt & Rochelle zurBurg , our Global Partners in Ukraine, will be at Immanuel. After giving a brief report in the morning services they will be hosting a more detailed presentation of the work they are doing in Odessa. Plan to join them in room #L014 during either class hour to listen in on what has been taking place as well as their plans for the future.
REACH A TEEN -- Barnabas Ministries in Zeeland reaches out to homeless teens in the Holland/Zeeland community (and there are more than you might think). One of the ways their staff reaches out to these teens is by sharing a conversation over a coke or a simple meal. You can be an active participant in this ministry by providing $5 or $10 gift cards to any fast food restaurant that these staff members can use. Pick up a card this weekend and drop it in the Driven by Compassion collection near the café at Immanuel.
A CHANGE IS COMING – For one month only (and one additional week) the service times at Immanuel are going to change. During the month of August (and the first Sunday of September) we are going to move our Sunday morning service schedule to one combined service at 10:00am. During these weeks the elementary, teen, and adult classes will be put on hold allowing all of us to meet together. We will continue to provide sessions for nursery and preschool children. Mark your calendar now so that your don't miss out.
