Over 20 lasagnas were made by kids for the home-bound and those in need of a meal from Immanuel church.

Handing out these meals is a great encouragement to those who will receive them.

We had one individual say, "I have never had anyone come and visit me before".

Show your kids spreading kindness while putting others first is a priority and get these meals where they need to go.
  • Meal are in the church frezzer
  • Addresses are attached to the meals
  • Grab meals and off you go, spreading kindness and sharing in the fun!

We want to partner with you in creating a gospel-centered foundation.  So this E-newsletter keeps you in the "Know" with what is happening in the Children's Ministry of  Immanuel.  Feel free to respond back with questions or suggestions.  If you would like to be removed let us know that as well.
1st through 5th grade have been asked to sing a song during both services, 9:17 and 10:47, this coming Sunday (Palm Sunday).

Children will begin in their classes and return back to their classes for pick up after the services.

This will be lead by Kelli Wyse and the song is "This is how we know"
"When God created humans in his image, we were perfect. But after sin entered the world, we needed a Savior. The good news of Easter is that Jesus, God's Son, died on the cross for our sins and then rose again. Because of Jesus' victory, we can receive the free gifts of forgiveness and eternal life.

Writer Peter Ustinov called love "an act of endless forgiveness." A constant focus on forgiveness is especially important in families. Every day, hurt feelings, grudges, and slights interfere with our relationships with the people we love most". - Group Publishing, Parenting Christian Kids

Sunday night programs will be taking a break starting April 5 and we will return April 19.

Critter Barn will be coming to Immanuel Church to help us understand the Godly character of gentleness.

This is a great opportunity for your child to invite a friend to come along, and you can feel free to stay as well.

We have all heard it said or have had it said to us "use self-control".  But what is it, and what does it look like?

The Bible tells us in Proverbs 25:28 "Like a city whose walls are broken down is a man who lacks self-control".

Self-control helps us say no to wrong and yes to what God wants.  These houses (pictured above) were an illustration of how God uses self-control to protect and build/grow fruit in us.

Next time your child enters a candy aisle and you say "use self-control" remind them of these houses.  We all have a choice to either say YES (protected and strong) or NO (broken and exposed) to what God wants.

The more we allow God to help us use self-control the quicker and more effectively we will live out of the other "fruit of the Spirit".  Lets make God look attractive to others watching and use self-control. Titus 2:10
Last month's issue emphasized that love means nothing unless we put it into action. Jesus loves us so much he sacrificed everything—including his very life—on the cross. Then he rose again to give us new life.

That glorious Easter message is the best news we can share with our kids—and the world around us. God did something incomprehensible
because of his unfailing love. His resurrection opens the door to
heaven.

As parents, we can put this big, abstract concept in understandable bites. But kids of all ages can understand the gospel, as well as what it means to make their own sacrifices to God. Use the tips provided in this months newsletter to talk about Easter with your kids.
