Lambertus "Bert" Schierbeek, the father of Wayne Schierbeek (a member of Immanuel Church), passed away today, April 21. A funeral and committal service will be 10:30am Saturday, April 23 at Langeland-Sterenberg Funeral Home, 315 E 16th Street, Holland. Visiting hours are scheduled for 9-10am prior to the service. STRESS TOOLS – The Apostle Paul tells us that God provides us with some very practical and available tools for helping us deal with the kind of daily stress that all of us have to deal with. This Sunday morning, April 10, we will return to Paul's insights on this common issue that we all face to some degree. NEW OPPORTUNITY – Each month we collect items for a local ministry. In April we are collecting nerf balls, kick balls, and softballs for Camp Beechpoint. Pick up a couples and drop them in the collection box in the Commons at Immanuel. MEMBERSHIP MATTERS – A discussion group about how you can partner with Immanuel more effectively through membership will be held next Saturday, April 16. Prayer for Barb Weeber

Nick & Barb Weeber have been in New Mexico with a group of students from Hope College. On Wednesday afternoon they were out hiking and climbing when Barb took a 35 foot fall. She was unconscious for 10 minutes. They rappelled her down the mountain and then airlifted her to Albuquerque. Nick had to drive 2 hours to get to the hospital. She had a CT scan which found some bleeding in the brain but no surgery was needed. They had to stitch up her elbow. She has a hematoma in her hip that they are assessing to see if any surgery is needed. As of Friday morning she was still in the trauma unit at the hospital. They would appreciate your prayers.
